Description
Wild Goose Studio cold cast wall plaque made by hand in Kinsale, Ireland. A moving and emotional vintage piece with a great deal of feeling and history in it. Features a woman sitting on the front stoop of Madigan's with a classic Georgian style doorway above her. These doorways are a visual symbol of the city's history and architecture. Behind her to the right is the Halfpenny Bridge over the River Liffey, which flows through the center of Dublin. And behind that is The Custom House, a neoclassical 18th century building in Dublin which houses the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. It is located on the north bank of the River Liffey. The piece was cold cast by hand. The production process itself starts with metal powders such as bronze or cast iron which form the outer surface of the finished piece and the core is created from a ceramic resin cold cast pouring. Once the piece is set, it is polished it to reveal the beauty hidden beneath. Beautiful detail. Rich grey gunmetal tone. In nice vintage condition. Measures 9.25" tall and 7.25" wide. Please refer to each photo. They are there to accurately and honestly represent the item's description and condition. Happy to answer any questions.
