Description
This listing is for a Very Large 13.75" T x 11" W Studio Art Pottery Ceramic Vase / Vessel. Made by Benedictine Monks at Weston Priory: the monastic community in Weston, Vermont. This is where Brother Thomas Bezanson created most of his works. It is signed on bottom with impressed "WESTON PRIORY" and a Cross in a circle (photos 7 and 8). It has a gray and white glossy glaze over a dark grayish brown clay body. It is an irregular free-form ovoid shape with lumpy textured surface. Some unglazed designs on 2 sides. Not sure of age or exact maker / artist. Any info would be appreciated. It is in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks, or repairs. All rims and edges are perfect. Very clean. Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. *(White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item). It is extremely big, thick, heavy and fragile weighing 11.9 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. *(I have a UPS shipping option listed along with USPS. UPS is usually the cheapest for big and heavy packages. So if the shipping price seems too high just send me your zip code and I will take a look). It measures 13 3/4" tall, 11" at widest part of body, about 4 1/8" across top rim with a 1 7/8" opening, and 3 3/4" at the base. Please feel free to Email with any questions and be sure to check out my other MCM, glassware, pottery, and antique items. Thanks!

Absolutely stunning piece! The large vase from Weston Priory has such a unique, handcrafted charm—love the textured surface and glossy gray-white glaze. The organic, irregular shape and unglazed details give it so much character. Signed by the Benedictine monks, it feels like owning a piece of art with soul. Perfect for anyone who appreciates handmade pottery with deep history. No flaws, just pure craftsmanship!
