Description
This over-the-top vintage chip n' dip is one of the more creative designs emerging from California Potteries in the 60's and 70's. Assuming that a server should be able to feed a crowd, this ceramic piece in a CLAM SHELL motif holds three (3) 5" diameter bowls with generous 1 3/4" depths. Attached to the bowls is the fantastic flat clam shell platter that measures an impressive 11 3/4" at the widest point and slopes slightly upward to the scalloped edges. Five (5) unglazed "feet" on the reverse protect the base. Piece is marked CALIF 717 USA. In UNUSED condition, the high glaze remains ultra reflective and remains chip and crack free. A perfect server for your Beach House patio!! GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR VIEWING GOODEYE'S COOLBUYS! Be sure to add me to your favorites list ! See my other items !
