Item arrived and was protected reasonably well in its packaging. However, it was in a plain small Ziploc bag rather than an antistatic bag. That could have damaged the processor as plastic can build up static electricity from things rubbing on it (e.g. the processor wiggling around due to vibrations during shipment). It was a risk the seller took with that packaging, but my son and I installed it and it works, so overall I'm okay with my purchase.
