Handmade Studio Pottery Casserole, Serving Dish by Leon Roloff of San Diego Allied Craftsmen. This is a beautiful stoneware statement piece, it measures 10 inches square and is between 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 inches tall. This piece is substantial, weighing 3 pounds. Gorgeous on display. Leon Roloff, (1933 - 2015) joined the San Diego Allied Craftsmen in 1971. His work was displayed in several exhibitions including the Mingei Museum and Oceanside Museum of Art. He spent much of his career teaching in the Grossmont Union High School District at El Capitan High School in Lakeside and was dedicated to art education. He was published in Ceramic Arts Daily and Pottery Making Illustrated, and was featured on the Jan/Feb 2005 cover of Pottery Making. In very good condition with no chips or cracks.
