Description

Large and beautiful translucent green Uranium Depression platter, of the cracker and dip type (or chip and dip, if you prefer). The dip dish(es) would go on a raised platform in the center. This central area is decorated with a beautiful daisy-like radiating motif, and is delimited by a raised edge that seems to have been applied to the platter (as opposed to molded together with the rest of the object) and is actually not perfectly regular in shape when you examine the platter closely (see picture). The platter’s rim is decorated with a rich and elegant gold frieze of vine / plant scrolls. The central part (with the daisy pattern) is made of URANIUM glass that glows in ultra-violet light. Excellent vintage condition, no chip, the gold frieze is whole.
