Here is a beautiful studio art glass square dish by Kurt McVay Glass Studio. The dish is about 7 3/8" square at the widest point and 1 inch high at the corners. The piece has a wonderful Dichroic fused glass finish that shows an array of iridescent colors. The unique coloration continues underneath. It is signed on the bottom: McVay. This piece has been well preserved and shows no damage. It is a hand-crafted piece of art and was not a mass-produced piece. History: Kurt McVay has been a professional glass artist since 1985. He is best known for his fused and kiln formed dinnerware and decorative platters. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and received his glass education from Central Washington University. McVay is a very unassuming artist who lets his creativity speak for him. His technical glass making skills include glass blowing, kiln forming, etching, leaded windows and murals. He has completed numerous corporate awards projects. His work is used for food presentation in some of the world's best restaurants. He is particularly well known for his quality craftsmanship and design aesthetics. My shipping price includes my actual postage cost as well as packing/handling cost (bubble wrap, boxes, tape, envelopes, etc.) with transportation to post office and my time. It entails more than the postage stamp amount when it arrives to you. Also note that I recycle materials as much as possible - saving the environment. The Peggy Karr winter plate with cardinals is absolutely gorgeous!. It is in excellent condition, and arrived packaged well and safely. These butter pats are so cute and I love that they are square. The price was very reasonable for these items, given their uniqueness.
