AMIA Stained Glass DISPLAY & WORKING TRAY "BLUE SKIES" with Wrought Iron Stand 15" Wide (w/ handles) x 13" Tall x 3" Deep + the stand which adds ~ 3" in height, so 16" tall in stand Weighs almost 5 pounds with the stand Item #5425 Artist - Sandy Clough The design of this tray is of bluebirds and butterflies among fuchsia,dogwood, petunia, and hydrangea flowers - beautifully captured in colorful cathedral-like glass - lots and lots of detail and gorgeous color! The glass is painted from the underside and the top surface is smooth, clear glass that is beveled around the 8 edges. (see photos)The glass is held securely in a sturdy wrought iron frame of handles, 2" sides, and 4 little round legs on the underside. There are little flourishes in the frame for aesthetics. In addition to the tray, there is a handcrafted wrought iron stand for display when not in use. This is a wonderful example of the careful attention to detail you will see in all of Amia's stained glass artwork. Its manufacture is a meticulous process of preparation of the surface, applying the world's finest colorful enamels, and firing in a kiln.. The colors are so vivid - they are separated by a process called 'TUBING' - the very thin outlines of black are slightly raised, keeping the individual colors perfectly contained. Some of the areas are clear, some translucent, some frosted, and some solid. Placed near a light or window, it will come to life and everyone is sure to comment about the details and colors in this piece. The surface of the glass is remarkable as you can see from the photos . You will see areas of dazzle, texture, sparkle.... it's gorgeous!!! Besides being a display tray, this is perfectly useful as a tray - perfect for a luncheon, tea, shower, garden party..... the glass is plenty thick and held very securely to the wrought iron frame. That said, some items cannot be combined, based on fragility of item(s) and safe arrival to your location, ie - no bowling balls-crystal stemware combinations. Both Ground Advantage and Priority (a bit more cost) Shipping are usually offered via USPS - it depends on how quickly you want the item. I also offer Media Mail, if appropriate. And if one of the Flat Rate Boxes/Envelopes work better, that's fine if something is heavy but small and comes in at a lower shipping cost. Because I live on the West Coast, and Shipping Costs vary so much with weight/distance, I offer shipping at Calculated Cost rather than Fixed Price.
