The box said new. That means unopened and in original packing. The items were open not neatly wrapped butnstuffed in a HMart plastic grocery bag. Then put in box for shipping. See website picture below. The elastic that hold ornaments to the tree were red not silver as picture showed. I don't know if the were new or not but in great condition. They look new but I can't proof that. They were cheap compared and had fast shipping. I contacted seller. I am happy with what I got.exchange unneces.
